Life is But a Dream

Angela had started coming over just about everyday she didn’t have classes, she’d stay until Gus, and Imo left for soccer and then she’d leave. After practice Gus would call her and they’d talk for hours until one or the other fell asleep. Then start the process all over again the next day.
Thursday, Angela came over as usual.
“Gus, do you… I mean, it’s nice hanging out here and all, but would you like to actually go on a date?”
Gus drew a blank for a moment. A date? He’d love to!
“Gus? If you don’t want to…” Angela said a little disappointed.

Gus and Angela ended up at the Miranda del Amour, that is after he finally managed to get out of his head and say yes.
So far they’d had several drinks, done some dancing, and spent the evening chatting. The more he learned about Angela the more in love he fell.
“I was thinking,” Angela said leaning close, “Maybe we could go to the Romance Festival tomorrow night?”

Gus could see it now. They’d arrive at the Festival, and make their way over to get a drink. The dim lighting would make Angela more beautiful than she already was. Feeling good from the Sakura Tea they’d flirt their night away. Cuddling at the picnic tables, and flirting near the Tea fountain.
Then the Love Guru would come over, he’d tell them their relationship was meant to last for eternity.
Right then and there Gus would propose. Angela would except of course, and in a moment of heated passion, Gus would suggest they get married right then and there! He’d verbally caress her with his loving words and make her knees melt. She would do the same, telling him everything he wanted to hear, about how happy she was, and how glad they were getting married.
Then they’d kiss to seal the deal, but not just any kiss. A hot passionate kiss, that was sweet and gentle at the same time. They’d embrace, and kiss some more, and then –
“Gus?” Angela waved her hand in front of his face. Ever since she’d mentioned wanting to go to the Romance Festival later this week, he’d zoned out. It was like he was in another place and time.
Suddenly, Gus snapped back into reality.
“Angela.” Was all he said as he wrapped his hand around her back. He pulled her closer and leaned in, and kissed her tenderly. Angela practically melted. at his touch. This date was going better than she’d originally thought.

Leslie had just gotten up, and was about to head towards the door, when it suddenly opened.
Angela walked into the room and found another man!
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Angela stammered as she looked at the man in his pj’s. “I was looking for the bathroom. Gus said it was in the smaller room just beside his.”
Leslie blinked, there was a human woman in her underclothes in his room.
“Wrong way, it’s the other door.” He said trying to process what was happening.
“Oh, okay, thank you. Sorry again.” Angela said backing towards the door. Then she stopped, holding out her hand. “I’m Angela by the way.”
“Leslie.” Leslie replied.
“Oh! That’s unusual, that’s usually a girls name isn’t it?” Angela asked innocently.
