Sunshine Blogger Award
So, I recieved this little thingy from Jessesue. Who does Stories by Bee. You can find her blog (If you haven’t already) here. I’d like to say thank you for nominating me, and as everyone probably already knows, I’m late (as usual.) Apologies.
The Rules:
- In a blog post, thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
- Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate 11 new blogs to recieve the award and write them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog.
So, on to my questions:
1. What is your favourite job/career in the Sims and why?
To answer honestly? It was in Sims 3 and it was the Gardner one (I can’t remember the exact title.) I love Gardening! I also have a black thumb. So the fact that I can do it even remotely well in a game has me tickled pink. You have no idea.
2. What is your least favourite job/career in the Sims and why?
Least favourite was the Stylist. I’d always get stuck personalizing a poodle. It was so weird. I didn’t like it at all.
3. Have you played any challenges in the game and is your story based on a challenge?
Um, I have. The majority of the challenges I did were in Sims 3. I did the very unsuccessful Isle of the Midnight Sun Challenge, it’s also on my blog site (Yes, that was shameless plug, thank you for noticing.) I also did a lot of made up challenges between Jessesue and I. We did them to get used to playing the game in the beginning, and then to try exploring things we never seemed to get around to in normal game play. I also did the 7 Toddler Challenge in Sims 4 (Never again.) No, it’s not, but it’s been rattling around in my head for a few years, so why not?
4. Do you have a Favourite character and are they in your current story?
Yes, I do. It’s Leighton Sekemoto, and no they are not. I would like to find a Sims 4 version of that family myself. Have to look sometime.
5. Have you ever made a sim-self and/or family/romantic interests? How did that turn out?
Tricky, two questions in one. I see what you did there. Yes I have. Every see those commercials where they pretty girl turns out to be a hairy, ugly man? Kinda like that. I just tuck it in my dark safe and make sure it never saw the light of day.
6. What is the one thing you refuse to do while playing this game? (For example, play supernaturals, the criminal career, kill a sim, etc.)
Honestly? Nothing. All bets are off.
7. What is your favourite world and why?
My favourite world to date is Midnight Hollow. You have no idea how long I waited for a world like that! I was so excited I was yakking everyones ear off about it months before it was released.
8. Have you ever been caught by the Kraken in the cave? Fought a shark?
Kraken yes. Shark yeah! He was my bff. I couldn’t go anywhere with out him.
9. Have you ever had a sim child die in game unexpectedly?
Well, no, but when I first started playing Sims 3 I had a lot of sad social worker visits, and my whole household minus the babies died (included 3 nannies/maids.) It was a funny, sad, frustrating time really. I’ll never forget Genovive and her poor husband Luke. I kinda don’t feel bad for the NPC’s though? Is that wrong?
10. How many hours a week do you play the game?
I can go some weeks without playing at all. Then there are weeks where I live the game every second I get. Then I rely on those weeks to fuel the ones where I don’t.
11. If you could go back and start your story from the beginning to take a different path or fix some mistakes, would you?
I already did. I started this story in Sims 3. It wasn’t going right, and I was getting bored there, so I moved it over to Sims 4 and I’ve been having a blast. It went from being a sad, meloncholy drama to a…well I have no idea what it is currently, but I’m having fun with it!
So now, my turn to recommend some people (Part of why it took me so long was this part, but I got one.) It’s not 11, but I figure everyone under the sun that I know has already done it. Listed here is someone I want to know more about. So without further ado: Laura Berry’s The Cross Story
So, now questions…
- What’s your favourite season? Both in game, and RL.
- If your sim was stuck on a deserted island (Wink, wink) what’s one thing you hope would be shipwrecked with them?
- If YOU could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- What’s your favourite article of clothing? (Mine is socks, greatest invention since the wheel)
- If you could do one thing from the Sims in your real life and get away with it, what would it be?
- In the language of flowers, each flower has a message/meaning. What’s your favourite one?
- What’s your favourite colour and does it figure prominently in your story?
- Cat, Dog, Bird, or Rock?
- Do you dress up your animals?
- Large or small families?
- Is this the last question?

Congratulations! I can totally relate to the “all bets are off!” in game play. I think it is most fun when there aren’t any limitations.
Thanks. I just think it’s best not to censor yourself for a good time; in game at least 🙂
Bravo! And I see you stole my tulip picture there! LOL No worries, other’s have as well. I read this for fun, as I knew all the answers anyway. 2019, we will do a challenge in Sims 4. By then, hopefully, I will have my long list of things to get done completed. Although, I did just try making a sims 4 pose tonight…….
I did steal it! I asked first though. I can’t wait. I miss our little challenges and honestly, you have so many questions we’ll be doing a couple or it’ll take forever to do it lol. I saw that congrats. I may have a pose for you if you’re up to it. I know you’re busy, so I’ll ask later.
