Gus Falls Hard and It’s Confusing for Everyone

Imo was exhausted. The weekend out partying had been tiring, but the fact that Gus was devastated was exhausting. He moped around the house sighing, wandering like a piece of paper floating in the wind.

I’m gonna get my hands on her, and she’s not going to like it! Imo thought viciously. Who knew the vibrant party girl they’d met at the party would snag Gus’s heart and feelings like she did. The fact that she led Gus on and then bomb shelled him by announcing she was married was horrific. This didn’t happen on Sixam. If you chose a mate, you stuck with that mate. It was for life and you didn’t fool around with anyone else.  The whole thing was making him mad, so mad that he decided to get out of the house to tutor almost every night. He was so tired, and now that he was home, he’d be even more tired. Ugh.

Leslie was staring into the pond trying to see a way out of going home with Gus- Fish! He was looking for fish!

Gus had done what Gus did best: pick up women. Only that woman had been slyer than Gus. Figures the first time gets out done it’s by a woman and he falls to pieces.

Sighing Leslie looked up, it was getting dark, but that was no excuse to go home either. Maybe if he squinted he could see better in the dark?

“Something has got to give; Before it’s me!” Leslie said to Imo.

Gus was inside moping about Candy again, so the two of them had escaped outside to avoid him.

“I know, I know. We just need to get him out. I think I know how. There’s a Painting Society gathering happening today. Maybe we can get him out, and get him back to himself.”

After a lot of cajoling, they finally stood out front of Darby’s Den. Imo couldn’t get wait to get inside and check out the Painting Society. Leslie couldn’t wait to Gus inside and hopefully get him back to himself.

Finally Gus seemed to be getting back to himself. They’d been sitting in Darby’s Den for the past few hours. At first Gus was just as listless and mopey as ever, but eventually he started perking up.

They were waiting for Imo to come back. The Painting Society took place out back of Darby’s Den and Imo had been out there for hours. As more people came over, Leslie prepared himself to wait more, at least Gus seemed to be having fun.

The Painting Society meeting had gone great! Imo was now a member, and even though it had taken a bit to join (They really like to talk,) and now he was a Full Fledged Member!!

As if that wasn’t enough great news, he’d met someone! They spent some time after the gathering just talking, but the more they talked the less attractive Imo found him. Finally managing to excuse himself, he went to pick up the guys and head home.

The next day, they were chilling at home. Gus was in a much better mood since their outing yesterday. So when the doorbell rang, he said he’d answer it.

He opened the door and a Goddess was outside. Stepping outside, he opened with the line:

“You, hi.” He cringed inwardly, what was wrong with him.

“Uh, hi!” Angela shot back. “I’m looking for Imo? He came to a Society meeting yesterday, and he forgot his new tshirt and poster.”

“Yes, yesterday.” Gus agreed. What is wrong with me!?

“Yes, yesterday.” Angela agreed. She smiled inwardly, he was kind of cute it a dumb way. “So, is Imo here?”

Gus’s temper flared, Imo! Imo! What does she want with him!?

Gus sat there getting more and more angry at the thought of this Goddess with Imo.

“Right,” Angela said. “I’ll just let myself in.” She walked in the door leaving Gus outside seething.

After Delivering Imo his poster and Tshirt, Angela was on her way out, when she got stopped by Gus.

“I just wanted to say sorry about earlier.” He said contritley. “I’m Gus by the way.”

“Angela,” she said smiling. When he squinched his face like that, he was adorable. “It’s nice to meet you Gus.”

Gus was on cloud nine! Angela, Angela, Angela. Her name just rolled off his tongue. After his first bungle, they’d ended up talking for a few hours. Every fiber of his body just sang out her name. Even at home on Sixam, he’d never met anyone who made the Universe seem to teem with energy and life!

They’d exchanged numbers, and he was hoping she’d call, or maybe he should call her first? It’d been an hour since she’d left, was that too soon? What if he’d waited to long already? Gus was about to dial her number, when his phone rang. Looking at the display, he smiled. Angela was calling.
