Ezza got out of the bed. The look on Zas’s face had her worried. She started looking herself over. Yup, that was her lilac skin, her suit. Wait a minute, why was her skin lilac? Ezza looked up at Zas in surprise. 

“What happened?” Ezza asked him. 

“I’ve no idea Love, but I’m not minding it. You are beautiful.” Zas said. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen your lovely lilac skin, and your markings” 

“Yes, my lilac skin that made people tease me so much growing up. To girly, not really man.” Ezza said remembering all the hurt.

“Well, you are a girl now, and you look lovely.” Zas said. He started walking over to her to hug her as she gazed at herself in the mirror, when they heard Cameron holler. 

Both of them ran out of the room into the hall to find Cameron in the doorway to Nigel Su’s room. He was staring at something inside.

“Move, I’ll take out whatever it is!” Zas said starting to push Cameron out of the way. Cameron held out his arm and stopped him.

“Do NOT harm my son.” Cameron said coldly. Zas looked at Cameron for a moment, then turned his attention back to the room.  Nigel Su sat inside, in his diaper on the floor. However, he was no longer a squalling Baby, instead the toddler sat in front of the bassinet giggling while rocking back and forth. Once he noticed the group of adults in his midst, he babbled out something and stood up. Cameron was pushed out of the way as he stood looking at his son, Ezza scooped Nigel Su up and cried out in joy at the sight of him. 

“Isn’t he a little big?” Zas asked out of curiosity.

“I’m not sure.” Cameron said turning towards Zas.

“No, they shouldn’t grow this fast. It’s only been a few months since he was born. It’s unnatural.” Ezza said passing Nigel Su to Cameron. He let out a yip and backed up while squeezing his son tightly.

“What happened to you?” He asked.

“Huh?” Ezza asked.

“Nothing, this is what she normally looks like.” Zas said, but in truth he felt a little weirded out by it too.

“Yes, okay I’ll take your word for that Muffin, but why does she look like she normally does?” Cameron tried again.

“No idea.” Zas said, as Ezza shrugged.

 

 

Later that night Zas, Ezza, and Cameron were sitting at the dining room table talking while Nigel Su played with Pepper on the floor.

“That’s barbaric!” Ezza exclaimed.

“I know, I couldn’t believe it either. First they drug me and get me pregnant, and now they give aging drugs to my son to speed up the process. Thing is I have no one else to watch him but the Council run daycares.” Cameron sighed.

“It’s still barbaric. I don’t care how many soldiers they need.” Ezza said with a huff. 

“I agree, but I may have solution.” Zas said rubbing Ezza’s knuckles. Both Ezza and Cameron turned to look at him. 

“Well, Ezza’s in a predicament as well. Apparently our suits can only compensate so much. With Ezza becoming more…motherly,” Zas hesitated for a moment, which caused Cameron to snort. “Our suits can’t handle it. There is a limit as to how much they can change/disguise our body’s. So, that being said I have a solution.”

“Oh I can’t wait to hear this.” Cameron said sarcastically.

“I think Zas’s ideas are all wonderful.” Ezza said sweetly. Cameron tried to hide his laughter and failed, which earned him a kick from Zas under the table, and a disapproving looking from Ezza.

“So, Ezza’s suit won’t work while she’s pregnant, so she’s not going to be able to get out of the house. I propose she quits her job due to pregnancy illness or something. So, since she’s home she’ll need something to do. Why not care for Nigel Su? Win win, and this way he won’t be a teenager next week.” Zas looked triumphant as he sat back and watched their expressions. Cameron looked thoughtful and Ezza looked delighted.

“I like it. Private childcare is nothing to sneeze at it, and I’ll get my boy for a bit longer, teach him properly.” Cameron said.

“We’re going to have so much fun! I can’t wait!” Ezza was practically bouncing in her seat in excitement. Zas started to panic worried about the babies being jiggled out. Finally the two of them moved off to the bedroom, leaving Cameron and a tired Nigel Su alone. Inside the bedroom, Ezza and Zas sat on the bed. Ezza was eating her late night snack of a tofu dog, and Zas was trying to go over the finer points of what they should do.

“I’m so glad your my Mate, and with me for this.” Ezza suddenly blurted. Zas stopped talking out of shock. He turned and looked at her.

“Are you ok Love?” He asked. Ezza just nodded. Then she put her plate down and crawled into bed.

“Come, I need to feel you as I sleep.” Ezza said holding up the blankets behind her. Zas didn’t need any more prompting. He shrugged his clothes off and slipped into bed behind her. Wrapping his arm over her side, and resting his hand on her stomach, he listened as her breathing evened out and she slept. Yup, life couldn’t be any better at the moment. I promise I’ll get us all to safety.

 

Scooping Nigel Su into his arms after Zas and Ezza left the room, Cameron started taking him to his new bed purchased earlier in the day.

“Looks like you’re gonna have a wonderful Mamma after all buddy. As well as a crazy, but kind Uncle.” Cameron whispered into Nigel Su’s ear as he rubbed his back to relax him for bed.
