First Order
Day Seven
After getting up this morning and getting ready to head out, Greta grabbed her bag and found it was heavy. Looking inside, she discovered a few gems she had forgotten about collecting. Putting them aside, she hefted her stuff outside, and noticed some stuff along the beach. A white mushroom, and a grape seed. She knew it was a grape seed, because her friend owned a vineyard back in Bridgeport; this seed didn’t look so good though. Still, Greta wondered if she could plant it and make it grow. It was worth a try anyways. Greta set out into the ocean to see what she could find today.
Wow! Was today fruitful or what? Not only did she find several more gems, she found shells up the wazoo! She also found a mate to her toy Loch Ness doll Nessie; she’d call this one Nester. Giggling at her idea of a bad joke, she went to check on the chickens. Still good, no new eggs. Alright, inside it was.
Having a dinner of cold canned soup, and dreaming about hot, cooked-to-order steak and frites, Greta thumbed through the catalogue. It was there that she discovered a gem cutting machine. Just what she needed! After all, with how she was finding all these gems, it could quickly become too expensive to have them sent away and cut. Placing an order, she went back to flipping through the catalogue. Who knew what other amazing things she could find.
Satisfied with her day, she settled down for the night.
